Glen Rio is on Route 66, and is divided by the border of Texas and New Mexico. When Interstate 40 went through, just a few hundred yards North, the town just dried up.

When we pulled off I-40 to visit Glen Rio, the first thing we saw were these horses.

I think this was a diner. It's pretty easy to imagine a Bel Air out front, and a couple of Chicago-bound families drinking Vanilla Cokes inside.
